Our library is seeking a Library Assistant to join our team in Akron. As a Library Assistant you will play an important role in providing support to the librarians and ensuring the smooth operation of the library. This position is open to Indian nationals who do not require English proficiency and do not have prior experience. Responsibilities Assist patrons with finding and checking out books materials and resources Organize and shelve returned items in their proper locations Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the library Process new materials for circulation including labeling covering and cataloging Provide basic computer assistance to patrons such as printing or using library databases Assist with planning and hosting library events or programming Handle financial transactions for late fees or lost items Keep inventory of library supplies and report when they need to be restocked Requirements Indian national with no English proficiency required Biometric passport is necessary for employment Willingness to work without prior experience in a library setting Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new software programs Salary: The salary for this position is $1200 per month.
