Housekeeper
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Ridgeland Nursing & Rehabilitation Center! As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our residents' living spaces. Responsibilities:
Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned, including cleaning resident rooms, recreational areas, and common spaces
Clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, and ledges, as well as clean windows and mirrors
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, and clean carpets and walls
Clean bathrooms, including washing, sanitizing, and polishing fixtures
Discard waste and trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacles with plastic liners
Clean hallways, stairways, and vacant rooms as assigned
Perform isolation cleaning procedures in accordance with established infection control procedures
Participate in laundry duties as needed
Requirements:
Must possess an "Eligible" Background Screening status
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
Work Environment:
Work will be performed in a long-term care facility, with varying temperatures and humidity levels
May be required to lift, push, or pull heavy objects, and to work in a fast-paced environment
