Heavy Sports is seeking experienced, driven men's and women's college basketball contributing writers. We’re looking for entrepreneurial journalists who can own a beat and build loyal followings of fans hungry for up-to-the-minute coverage. We're looking for contributors eager to shape the conversation and become a go-to source for insight and breaking news around their team.

What We’re Looking For

• Deep college basketball knowledge with a focus on one or more specific teams.
• Proven digital experience with a track record of generating traffic and engagement and building an audience.
• Speed and accuracy: You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can react quickly to breaking news.
• Sharp news instincts: You should be able to quickly identify and pursue the most important and high-impact stories on and off the field. You’re plugged in to the pulse of college basketball and can find breaking and trending stories before the competition.
• Clean, sharp writing: Polished, accurate copy delivered under deadline pressure.
• Self-motivation: You can manage your own schedule and consistently deliver.
